User Collaboration
This project was conducted entirely during the Covid-19 pandemic. We conducted multiple online user interviews, testing and validating our concepts to ensure our product meets our user’s needs.
Workshop Creation
We developed several low-fi and hi-fi prototypes to test our ideas and communicate them with our users. Some were elaborated with house-hold items, enabling users to replicate these and evaluate the concepts.

To showcase our final concept, a promotional video was conceived and edited to portray the shoe’s functionality.
User Research. Despite Covid Restrictions.
Throughout interviews, we discovered most experienced runners experience a runner’s high, thus making it hard for them to stop during a treatment. Despite the Covid-19 lockdown which made it harder to communicate with users, different methods were elaborated to efficiently collaborate. For some critical design decisions, the runners used household items to replicate the prototype, experience the concept, and validate, refine or eliminate ideas.
Validation through Prototyping. Real-life testing.
Once our concept was validated by the users, I built a hi-fi prototype of our idea, using an ordinary sneaker as a base and sewing the different elements accordingly. Following the lifting of Covid-19 restrictions, we were able to meet up with a few users to test our product. Most were very intrigued and though this concept could be very useful to them. However, some wished to test a more advanced prototype for a longer period to determine how impactful this idea would be.
